This is the last picture I took of the night jar chick (about three days ago) and it'll probably be the last. I went up to the roof top yesterday morning to see how baby chick was doing. The mother bird quickly flew up and went through her normal decoy maneuvers before flying away. As I moved towards the chick to get a picture, it surprised me by flying off too. The birds are now hanging out under a palm tree close to the front porch.

Night jar, update

The birds are now hanging out under a palm tree close to the front porch.
