There are several large paricá trees (
Schizolobium sp) at Bosque Santa Lúcia and their seed production is quite prolific. There's only one seed in each pod and it's very hard after drying out. As a result, the germination of them can take awhile and the process can be spread out over long periods of time. I'm not totally sure of the species but I think it's
parahyba.
