In a previous post I showed two pajurá de Óbidos seeds given to me by a rare fruit collector. The seed in the image is one of the two seeds. I dug it up for a botanical inspection to prove that it's indeed a pajurá de Óbidos. The Brazilian botanist concluded that the classification was correct. Evidently the "scar" on the seed (visible in the image) is the primary criteria for this assessment. I was surprised to see how advanced the root system was on the seed. I quickly returned it to the dirt in the vase and it's doing well, thank you. Next post, the botanist.
