Amizade volunteers representing West Virginia University visited Bosque Santa Lúcia on 14 April 2018, under the leadership of Geli Weiss, front, far left. The group invited local guide, Adriano Lira, far right, to guide the forest tour.

International tourism
Our younger son, Arthur Daniel, at Bosque Santa Lúcia today. He was helping us with two groups of British passengers from the cruise ship Adonia.

Unexpected storm at the Bosque
Given that this storm targeted only the Reception Center at Bosque Santa Lúcia, it must have dropped out of the sky in the form of a tornado. Several large trees were felled with damage to the round-house, the Casa de Caboclo and the bridge. The tree we see on the ground is a taperebá (Spondia lute)
