I'm sorry to be leaving so many comments, but this is very interesting to me. We have some a bright yellow mushroom where I live that looks quite similar, but they don't ever grown in masses like this. Beautiful lemon color. Do you know if they're edible?
First time I've seen this mushroom. It doesn't seem to have been nibbled on by forest animals, so I would put them in my salad. Most mushrooms here seem to be in the "nobody eats them" category.
