This picture was taken yesterday morning after nearly 24 hours of rain without stop. In the background you can see the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers flowing at well more than a meter of water higher than normal for this time of the year. By the time flooding reaches its peak around the first of June, it's quite possible that many of the waterfront streets will be under water.

Holy smokes! When you say "rain", you're not kidding! I hope there wasn't too much damage.
