The Amazon has its own version of Olympic Torches, and a lot of them. Only time will put these flaming beauties out. There are so many different kinds of heliconias, I wouldn't want to second guess the name of these in the image. But, I'm willing to bet one of my readers will know, right off the bat.

Morning at Mararu, part 10
The Amazon has its own version of Olympic Torches, and a lot of them. Only time will put these flaming beauties out. There are so many different kinds of heliconias, I wouldn't want to second guess the name of these in the image. But, I'm willing to bet one of my readers will know, right off the bat.

These are beautiful. I walked in a garden in St. Lucia that had so many beautiful flowers, including a number of different types of Heliconias.
