Morning at Mararu, part 2
These wild cacao trees (Theobroma speciosum) had just gotten the ax! The trees had been cut at about two meters high because they were almost on top of the front porch. Paulo and Zilma have lived on this piece of land for nearly 20 years, so I assume that the trees were getting bigger, not the house. I think I saw these trees in St.Lucia. They were a beautiful pink color.
