Wild passion fruit, continued

This is the only fruit I saw from the wild passion fruit vines alongside the road as I walked into the Bosque earlier this week. As you see it, that's the way I found it. It had probably been knocked off the vine by a passing vehicle. Strange, but I didn't see any passion fruit flowers on any of the many vines making their way onto the road.
