The day I waded through dirty water and mud to get into and out of the Bosque, I felt compensated by some of the flora I encountered on the sides of the road. The
"humble plant" (
Mimosa pudica) was on stage from the beginning to the end of the hike, and flowering at its best.

The leaves and flowers remind me of the Mimosa/Silk trees we once had in our garden. Smaller obviously, but similar leaf and flower shape.
