My orchid experts, Bernadete and Calúdio Serique, told me some time back that my
Maxillaria amazonica would continfue to flower and flower, as long as I treat it well. By that, I understood that it requires a good medium and the right amount of sun. I loaded the vase with açaí seeds, broken up pieces of charcoal and put it in a semi-shady area on the front porch. That seemed to have been the secret because the orchid is now blooming again.
