About the only thing I saw down on the ground under the fig tree was this nondescript butterfly, which didn't seem at all interested in the figs. In the meanwhile, billions of yellow butterflies filled the skies above. Maybe countless numbers! They all flew in the same direction with the easterly trade winds. This went on for more than two weeks. I could only think that "there was a caterpillar for every one of those butterflies".
