Past history, continued
As the last of the invited guests show up for the riverboat trip, I spotted a flower of a flamboyant tree flashing its color within a tangle of of other trees and plants. It was low enough that I was able to get this photograph without the use of a zoom. As Áurea and I boarded the riverboat, I thought to myself that I would like to return to this site to see the rest of what remains of a place I knew more than 20 years ago. The owner has gotten old. I've gotten older and the homestead has seen better days. Nature finds itself everywhere and brings new life for all.

These are beautiful trees. I remember seeing them in Bermuda and wondering what they were.
