Fly

I wish I had one of those fancy cameras that would allow me to really zero in on those eyes. Not knowing anything about the matter, it seems to me that the eyes are a thousand times larger than the brain. See Ted's comment about this fly, which I had called a wasp.

Hee hee... this is a fly - and another robber fly (family Asilidae). This is a member of the subfamily Laphriinae, whose larvae tunnel through dead wood preying on beetle larvae. The adults bear an amazing resemblance to bumble bees and wasps.

must be male - isn't said that a mans eyes are bigger than his brain.... maybe this is a misquote - but I wish you had a fancy camera also... althogh you do really well with the one you have....
