Insect 73 - Net-wing beetle

This one's tricky - it's actually a longhorned beetle, one of group that mimics netwinged beetles. I can't figure out which one it is, but it's something related to the genus Pteroplatidius.

Got it now - I sent the photo to Ian Swift who has done more work with the Neotropical fauna that I, and he suggested the genus Mallosoma. Based on location and comparison with a photo of the type specimen, this should be Mallosoma scutellare.

I sure wish you could collect these things and send them to me :)
