another unknown

I don't know what it is, but it nearly went unnoticed while I was getting some pictures of a butterfly. Could it be the larvae of a stick insect?

Some kind of lepidopteran larva - which group I don't know.

Stick insect babies look the same as adults, only miniature.

That looks a lot like an early instar of Caligo, the owl butterflies. Just an impression- not an ID.
