Not the same bug - not even a bug, but a beetle, in this case a longhorned beetle (order Coleoptera, family Cerambycidae). The species is Callipogon armillatum, widespread from Panamá through South America. I would LOVE to get ahold of one of these some day - they are quite impressive. This looks like a male, based on the elongated front legs, bigger mandibles, and longer antennae. You can see several photographs of this species on this page.
