I am a senior at the University of the South: Sewanee and a current candidate for the Fulbright to Brazil, where I have spent nearly six months as a student in the eastern Amazon.
I am currently in a Southern Lives course and am pursuing an independant research project on the Confederate immigrants to Brazil. David Riker's book is the only biography pertaining to an Amazonian settlement. I have been unable to locate a copy of the book online or in print, and wonder if a copy is available through any means that you know of.
