Friendly butterfly

This friendly butterfly was checking out the virtues of wet cement vs. human sweat. It seemed to have liked both.

Hi Steven, This is a beautiful butterfly. I've never had one land on me in the wild, but I have visited a butterfly house where they have. It's always a special moment when something wild gets close like that. I've been catching up on your blog today. You've posted some wonderfully interesting things. I'm sorry that I don't get by much anymore, but I don't even visit my own blog much these days. Things are going well, but busy. I hope all is well with you too. Thanks for your continued visits, despite my absence. Very kind of you. Best wishes,
Lin

Joan and Lin, thanks for checking in on me. As you know, I returned to my old job with a health organization and I've had little time to spend at Bosque Santa Lucia. I try to get out at least once a week. Someday, I'll get back to the good life of nature. Hugs to you both.
